ROD's Still Got It
Rod's voice was simply amazing, with his problems behind him. The unnecessary 3 male back-up singers, the overly large orchestra, and the momentum breaking intermission are gone. Instead, you get 95 minutes of pure unadulterated Rod doing one hit after another. The band and female backup singers were awesome, and the set/staging was terrific. Mr. Stewart was charming, spontaneous and seemed to be enjoying himself immensely even though he was fighting the final stages of a cold. Best Stewart concert I have since the mid 1990's seen since the mid 70's, and this was one of his better shows. Rod was terrific. We've seen him at least 35 times, and his voice/throat issues which plagued him in the late 90's and past decade all appear to be behind him (Thank God !!).
